Tomoko is a fanmade character belonging to friendshipbeam, created for 7daylimit. The setting and concept of The World Ends with You, as well as the PBs taken from Kanon, are not my creation; go support Square Enix, Jupiter and Key/Visual Art's.

Appearance: Tomoko is cute and childish-looking, with very expressive features; if she's angry, she looks like she'll bite you, and when she's shocked, her eyes and mouth are wide open and her face turns blue. She'll also wave around her arms a lot or pose like she's high and mighty when she's angry, and never limits herself to small gestures. Tomoko's wardrobe is simple and practical, but not boring, just enough to keep warm or stay cool depending on the weather. She wears red ribbons in her hair every single day, never changing her hairstyle. Her hair is a full-bodied yellow-orange and goes down to her waist, and her eyes are huge and the same blue as her jean jacket. Tomoko also carries around a messenger bag that serves for easy access to her pins -- she keeps the ones she's using on the outside -- as well as her inventory, which is shoved inside. Sadly, it can't hold more than one change of clothes.
Personality:Even in a regular situation, Tomoko would smile at random people on the street and say hi, although usually, they'd ignore her or shuffle away. Now that it's imperative to befriend strangers and trust them with your life, she feels that she can completely let loose. What follows is a hyperactive whirlwind of "Hi! What's your name? Wanna go shopping with me? Sure! Good! Bring your partner! Bring everyone! Let's go!" just about every time she spots someone new. It can get a little overwhelming, but she's just trying to have fun.

Tomoko is, as mentioned, extremely friendly and outgoing. She's also very emotional and reacts to everything, flipping from very angry to very happy and back in an instant. She holds grudges for a long time and always acts on impulse rather than thinking about her actions or if they will hurt others. If there's nothing to do, she'll propose something fun and outlandish, and if there's something important to do, she'll make it fun and outlandish. Tomoko is having the time of her (un)life in the Game without doctors and family chasing after her, and there is absolutely no way that some downer is going to ruin it.

Tomoko isn't a ball of energy all the time, though. She only attaches to people left and right because she doesn't want to be alone, ever. If she is alone, she'll probably go crazy, overturning the premises for someone to cling to. She also keeps anything relating to her illness or entry fee secret because her friends finding out would ruin the illusion; in the Game, she presents herself as a normal, healthy girl, and doesn't want to be seen as any different. The only thing that would make Tomoko flip out and run away, and then only for a little while before the fear of being alone would kick in, would be if someone were to find out that she was sick, didn't have and couldn't get the medication she needed.

About her illness. Tomoko wants to ignore it and pretend it isn't there while she's in the Game, and exist for a while without people worrying about her or telling her what to do. Because there are only seven days to go, she takes everything to the extreme - her emotional reactions, for example, are very intense and change at the drop of a coin. Her battle style is another indicator of this; she's nothing but attacks, with very low defense (both due to neglect and the fact that she's very ill) and usually forgetting to heal until there's five health points on the bar. Tomoko also prefers attacks that look flashy than ones that don't; her messenger bag always has at least one pin like Sexy D, just so she can throw around SUVs. How many people do you know who can do that?
History: Igarashi Tomoko was a sickly girl from another, smaller city. She always smiled at other people, talked to whoever would listen and sneaked around the hospital to try and do things she wasn't allowed to do. The hospitals had strict rules, though, which were also enforced by her family, who were always worrying about her health. Tomoko was jealous of healthy people, who were allowed to go around and do whatever they very well wanted. However, since she was always in pain without her medication, that wouldn't work very well.

Then she died. Well, it's a bit more detailed than that: the family was taking her on a plane to a hospital in Tokyo, since her condition was getting worse. As the plane was flying over the Shibuya district, the high altitude aggravated Tomoko's condition, and she woke up dead in the Game. At first, she thought she was well; she was wearing her normal clothes instead of hospital clothes, and she didn't have her medication on her. It's only later, once the pain kicks in at the end of the day, that she realizes she's still sick.
